It was finally nice to turn on our TV's Sunday, and be able to see a real NFL game. There were many surprising scores and performers week 1. Here is the score and star performer of every game.

MVP: Rex Grossman started off the season well passing for 305 yards, 2 TD's and throwing no picks.

MVP: Aaron Rodgers started off right where he finished last year throwing for 312 yards, 3 TD's and no picks.

MVP: Brian Urlacher is still one of the best MLB in the game as he had a fumble recovery for a TD as well as an interception.

MVP: Even though his team lost, Cam Newton had an outstanding first career game as he passed 422 yards and 2 TD. He had 1 INT but made that up with a rushing TD.

MVP: Mike Tolbert was all over the field Sunday rushing for 96 yards and scoring all 3 TDs (1 recieving).

MVP: Ted Ginn Jr. was the star of Sunday returning a punt and kickoff for TDs.

MVP: Nick Folk made a 50 yard field goal with just over a minute left to give the Jets the victory.

MVP: Tom Brady went wild Monday night passing for a whopping 517 yards and 4 TDs. One of those TDs was a 99 yards pass to Wes Welker.

MVP: Raiders kicker Stephen Janikowski made history Monday night kicking a 63 yard field goal at the end of the first half. That tied for the longest field goal in the history of the NFL.
